A320 type rating

Our objective

Our objective is to ensure that, as an aspiring pilot, you safely and adequately perform normal, abnormal and emergency operations, and that you are aware of the limitations of the aircraft and its systems, as well as its performance.

In addition, our A320 type rating course allows you to pass the level tests, exams and proficiency checks at the level required by the authorities.

Requirements

The requirements that the aspiring pilot must meet in order to obtain his first TR A320 type rating are:

At least 70 hours of flight time as pilot in command of aircraft.
Have or have had an instrument rating for multi-engine aircraft, ME + IR, endorsed on the license.
Hold an instrument rating for multi-engine airplanes.
Have been taught theoretical knowledge at ATPL(A) level in an approved course and passed the authority's level test.
Hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate.

Our training in 4 phases

The Type Rating course is the last step to climb before you can start your career as an airline pilot. Our course consists of four phases: Theory – FBS – FFS – Real Flight. In addition, you will have unlimited access to our mock up, where you can practice flows and procedures as many times as you want to be fully prepared for the FFS phase.

Theoretical phase

Duration of 18 days.

2. FBS Simulator

32 hours of A320 FNPT II simulator training.

3. FFS Simulator

36 hours of FFS simulator training.

4. Real flight

Between 35 and 45 min of real flight time.

Course content

The course is divided into a theoretical and a practical phase.

Theoretical Phase

This phase will last 18 days, with computer-based training (CBT), classroom and cockpit procedures trainer (CSS) classes, including mass and center of gravity considerations, performance and flight planning.

FBS SIMULATOR

We complete the theoretical phase with 8 sessions of 4 hours of FBS, where you will learn everything you need to know to be fully prepared for the FFS phase. After the 32 hours of simulator (16 as FP and 16 as PM), you will take the final exam of the theoretical part. To pass it, you will have to answer 75% of the questions correctly.

FFS simulator phase

It consists of 9 sessions of 4 hours each, totaling 36 hours of training in FFS level D, where you will practice normal, abnormal and emergency operations, as well as the maneuvers necessary for the achievement of a flight and its planning, loading and centering and performance of the aircraft.

Actual flight phase

In this phase you will perform what is called "Base Training". You will take the controls of a real aircraft and you will train the takeoff and landing maneuvers in different configurations, putting into practice the skills acquired during the simulator training. You will also perform a Go Around. The duration of this phase is about 35-45 minutes of real flight.
